Who is eligible to apply for the scholarship?


The scholarship is only open to doctoral candidates with research in Chinese studies with approved proposals in the humanities and social sciences

All fields within Chinese studies are eligible




Can recommendations be emailed directly to you?


Recommendations can be emailed directly to chinatimescf@gmail.com on official letterhead with the professor's signature

When will winners be announced?


Winners will be announced October 2019




For the application, how many words/characters does the project description in English/Chinese need to be?


The project description in English should be 2,000-2,500 words and the project description in Chinese should be 2,000-2,500 characters.




How many awards are available?


Scholarships are in the amounts of USD$6,000 each USD$10,000 award in memory of our founder, Mr. Chi-Chung Yu USD$10,000 award in memory of Mrs. Alice Tsai Yu
